Mike Beedle

Mike Beedle is an entrepreneur that has applied Scrum and Agile to several software companies successfully (New Governance, Quant Traders and Enterprise Scrum). He has been using Scrum, patterns and organizational patterns since 1995. He is a co-author of the Agile Manifesto, the first Scrum book (Agile Software Development with Scrum), and the first published paper on Scrum in a book, (“SCRUM: An extension pattern language for hyper-productive software development”). He has introduced Scrum and Agile to thousands of people at hundreds of companies around the world. Mike’s current interest is in Enterprise Scrum — the simultaneous application of Scrum in a large number of teams some or all which could also be doing distributed development. Mike likes to work with his friends in the Agile and Patterns worlds to explore the union of Scrum, Organizational Patterns and Complexity Science. Mike has a Ph. D. in theoretical Physics. He is also authoring a new book with the title Enterprise Scrum.
